Summer Solstice Celebration at Solberg Airport
Update (6/24 @ 9:30am): The Summer Solstice will be canceled tonight and postponed to Sunday, 6/25 @ 4:00PM. We experienced over 2″ of rain last night and the fields need a day to dry out. Apologies for the inconvenience and hope to see everyone tomorrow! Check our facebook page and solbergairport.com for all updates. Thanks!
To honor the Norwegian tradition of Midsummer (Sankthansaften), we celebrate the summer solstice at Solberg Airport annually. This year, join us on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 4:00PM for the 22th-annual Summer Solstice Celebration. Hot Air Balloons launch around 6:30. Enjoy airplane rides, static aircraft displays, walk-about hot-air balloons (provided by balloon-rides.com), petting zoo, pony rides, a cookout to benefit the Whitehouse Rescue Squad, and much-much more. As always, admission is free, so bring your family out and enjoy!
