Solberg Flight Instructor Speaks with Students at Readington Middle School

Catherine Scaturo, a Solberg Flight Instructor, volunteered her time to share her knowledge of aviation with local eighth-graders at Readington Middle School. During her presentation, she discussed aerodynamics of airplanes and how those same aerodynamic principles relate to race cars. She also explained how a career in aviation as a pilot or many other options can be pursued. Erik Yates, Supervisor of Math, Science and Technology at Readington Township Schools said of Ms. Scaturo’s presentation, “It is important for young women to hear from successful women, and their eagerness to ask you questions clearly indicated that you sparked their interest.”
